Services
Here at the KAW Foundation, we are deeply committed to supporting the well-being of students in New Jersey schools. Our dedication stems from believing every child deserves access to resources that foster their mental, emotional, and physical health. We collaborate with various organizations to provide a host of comprehensive services.
Counseling Sessions
In-depth group sessions addressing specific issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, or individual sessions for economically disadvantaged students. These sessions, led by experienced licensed and board-certified counselors, can provide coping strategies, emotional support, and therapeutic interventions tailored to students' needs.
Mental Health, Kindness, &
ANti-Bullying PRESENTATIONS
Interactive presentations that cover managing stress, understanding and coping with anxiety, and developing resilience. These sessions can be tailored to different age groups and provide practical tools for mental wellness. Go to the Our Impact page to learn more about the interactive presentations.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION WORKSHOPs
Interactive presentation that covers physiological aspects of controlling emotions and teaches students how to manage conflicts.
AI, Internet Safety and Cyber Bullying Documentaries Followed by Expert Panel for Q&A
The KAW Foundation sponsors showings of Screenagers Movies discussing the digital age and it's effects on student mental health. Expert panels with open discussion and Q&A to follow that initiate thought-provoking conversations following plays and documentaries that center on mental health challenges.
Pet Therapy
Sessions where students interact with animals to help lower stress and anxiety levels. These activities can foster a nurturing environment and provide emotional comfort to students.
ARt Therapy
Creative arts programs where students express themselves through painting, drawing, or sculpting. This form of therapy can aid in emotional expression, self-discovery, and stress relief.
music Therapy
This therapy leverages the transformative power of music, allowing students to engage in activities like playing instruments, singing, or listening to music. It's an effective tool for emotional expression, improving communication skills, and fostering social interaction.
DANCE Therapy
This therapy leverages the transformative power of music, allowing students to engage in activities like playing instruments, singing, or listening to music. It's an effective tool for emotional expression, improving communication skills, and fostering social interaction.
yoga, breathwork, sound bowl therapy, and sandplay therapy
Through practices such as yoga, breathwork, and sound bowl therapy, students are introduced to calming, mindfulness-based experiences that support mental and emotional well-being. Each modality offers students opportunities to slow down, build self-awareness, reduce stress, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthy coping strategies in a safe and engaging environment.
Thread the future
Thread the Future is an ongoing initiative by the Kimberly Anne Wilson Foundation that provides students across New Jersey with essential items — all at no cost to them. Through our pop-up shops hosted in schools, students can “shop” for the things they need most, from clothing and shoes to backpacks and hygiene products, in a warm, welcoming environment that promotes dignity and self-worth.

By meeting basic needs, we help students feel more confident, focused, and ready to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
peer-led mental health support programs
Partial or full sponsorships for programs that instruct students to learn how to support their peers who may be struggling with mental health.
MENTAL
HEALTH CLUB
Through Active Minds, a mental health based organization, the KAW Foundation will assist a middle or high school in the implementation of a mental health chapter.
Teacher Training Programs
Comprehensive training for teachers and school staff to better understand mental health issues, recognize signs of distress in students, and integrate wellness practices into their teaching methods. Perfect for professional development days.
Each service contributes to a holistic approach to student well-being, addressing emotional, mental, and physical health in a school setting. For more information, you can visit the professionals that we work with here:
